Yoga and Meditation for Peace workshop with Sarah Warde

This workshop is by donation, all proceeds will go to the children of AFEL (Lebanese Child Home Association).

Following the rise of terror and fear in the world on an international scale, what can we do as individuals to stay centred and keep our actions virtuous? As we gather with our families and friends at this time of the year, be it celebrating the winter solstice (shortest day of the year), Christmas day or New Year's eve, we take this opportunity to reflect on the year that has gone by and set our intentions for the next one to come - bring on 2016!

What can we do in such times of crisis, as a human species, to keep harmonious and peaceful relationships with our neighbours? How can yoga teach us to be more tolerant of each other, of our differences and disagreements? How can yoga be a tool to resolve conflictual situations?

Join Sarah Warde for this two-hour workshop and learn to start by practicing peace within your own self. We will go through basic sun salutations, breath work, and chanting, before ending with half an hour of seated meditation. This workshop is open to all levels, and caters even for those who have never done yoga or meditation before.
